Learn with your kids while having fun at the Tech Fair at the DoSeum. My family and I love the DoSeum for its interactive exhibits and hours of entertainment, and this fair should make a visit even better.
Future Now! Tech Fair!
On August 12th, you and your family can attend the Future Now! Tech Fair! at your favorite interactive museum. During the event, there are plenty of activities for kids along with the chance for parents to attend Tech Education Pathways talks. These are led by the Co-Founder as well as SEO of Tech Bloc, David Heard, and will emphasize why integrating education and technology is so important.
Kids Coding Challenge Celebration
If your kid has already finished the Kids Coding Challenge, then they can show off their work at the event. Part of the event includes the Kids Coding Challenge Celebration which also includes pizza to snack on and an hour of time in the digiPlaySpace. Because only those who have finished the Kids Coding Challenge will be in that area, it will give everyone more exclusive access to the digiPlaySpace than you are used to. This event will be limited to 100 children who have finished all levels; they’re randomly selected to keep everything fair.
Fun for Your Kids
If your child hasn’t done the Kids Coding Challenge and doesn’t seem to want to finish it by the event, don’t worry. The other activities throughout the day have everything your kids could want. They can go on a scavenger hunt where they try to find STEM inventions from years past and attend a guided workshop that will help them create their very own robots. During the scavenger hunt, you actually interact with activities for the Kids Coding Challenge as well.
Parents, as well as kids, will love attending the various local leader tech demos during the Future Now! event. Youth Code Jam will present Coding Kingdom. Afterward, catch Alamo FIRST presenting Screaming Chickens Robots. Then, be on the lookout for Southwest Research Institute’s Markerless Motion Capture System and Fire Safety Tech. Finally, view ACE Lab (UTSA)’s Assistive Robotics, Human Robotics, Drones, and Interaction Robots.
How to Attend
Attending the Future Now! is easy. Entry is completely free with your DoSeum admission. You can buy your ticket at the door on the day of the event, August 12th, or do so ahead of time. Just keep in mind that if you want to attend the Tech Education Pathways talk, you need to register separately. You must attend this event for your child to participate in the guided makeshop, in which they will construct a robot!
