BBQ Cook-Off and More at the Comal County Fair

Comal County Fair

Mark your calendar because the biggest event of the year is about to begin. That’s right. It’s time for the Comal County Fair and Rodeo. This year’s event will take place on September 22-October 1, and it is going to be full of all kinds of fun. From a barbecue cook-off to a rodeo, there really is something for everyone at the county fair.

The Barbecue

The Comal County Fair is the place to go for some finger-lickin’ barbecue. There is enough room for up to 100 teams to compete in the popular barbecue cook-off, so you can expect to find some great fare at the fair. If you don’t want to cook, you can be a judge. As a judge, it will be your solemn duty to help find the best barbecue in town. Of course, your second duty will be to taste one dish after the next. That’s not a bad way to spend the day, is it? You’ve probably had worse.

If you want to judge, sign up soon before all of the slots are full. As you can imagine, there are lots of people out there who want to help find the best barbecue around, so you need to hurry.

Animals Galore

You can’t go to the Comal County Fair without spotting some animals. This year, there will be the rodeo plus the pig wrangler contest and other cool events. There will even be a baby barnyard for the little ones. Plus, your kids can enter the kids’ rodeo clown contest to see if they have what it takes to be the next big thing. Your kid might just have a calling, but you won’t find out unless he or she enrolls in the contest.

So Much More

The fair will also have a carnival, parades, music, and so much more. In fact, there is so much that you can easily go back each day and never get tired of the fun.

Get Involved at the Comal County Fair

While judging the barbecue contest is one way to get involved, it’s far from your only option. The county fair needs volunteers to run smoothly, and you can help. You’ll get free admission to the fairgrounds as a volunteer, so you can stick around after your shift and have some fun. Sign up to be a volunteer and give back to your community. You’ll be glad that you did.

Volunteering isn’t the only thing that will make you happy. You’ll also feel great if you stop by Nissan of New Braunfels in New Braunfels, Texas before the county fair. With the help of your new Nissan, you can navigate the roads of New Braunfels in style. Plus, your new Nissan will be ready and able to take you to other places in the country. Whether you want to go to the beach, the mountains, or somewhere in between, your Nissan will be ready to take you on an adventure.
