It’s Time for the 31st Annual Gruene Music and Wine Fest

Gruene Music and Wine Fest

Food and wine? That sounds like a pretty good time, doesn’t it? Now, include tons of people, and you know it will be a lot of fun. That’s what you can expect at the 31st Annual Gruene Music and Wine Fest. This four-day festival has four distinct events, and each one promises to be a good time. Mark your calendar for October 5–8, and get ready to have the time of your life.

Thursday – The Kickoff Event

The fun begins on Thursday, October 5 with a wine tasting. This isn’t your typical wine tasting with wine from a single winery. Instead, you’ll get to taste wine from five different wineries. You can also listen to live music that evening from Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros. This band has a sound that will remind you of the best country/rock tunes of the 1970s. If you love a good honky-tonk tune, you will have a blast at this concert.

Plus, there will be a concert that evening at Gruene Hall. The artist hasn’t been announced yet, so stay tuned for the news.

Friday – A Day of Wine and Food

Do you know what goes great with wine? Food, of course. Along with a wine tasting from three vineyards, you will enjoy a catered dinner. Plus, there will be an auction.

The auction is probably the coolest part of the Gruene Music and Wine Fest. You can get autographed guitars from some of country music’s finest, including George Strait and Loretta Lynn. Plus, there will be signed guitars by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. You just might walk home with a guitar signed by Kevin Costner or Kiefer Sutherland.

Saturday – Food and Music

Food and wine go great together, and so do food and music. On Saturday, you can enjoy some tasty food, along with live music on two stages. Then, at 9 p.m., Jack Ingram will take the stage at Gruene Hall. Yeah, that Jack Ingram. The one who calls the legend Steve Earle a mentor and the one who is known for hit songs like “Barefoot and Crazy” and “Measure of a Man.”

Sunday – Craft Beer, Music and Wine

Sunday just might put the rest of the days to shame. That is when the organizers are offering eight hours of music and a craft beer tasting. Plus, there will be food and a market.

The Gruene Music and Wine Fest is going to be an insane event. It is going to have everything you could possibly want. Actually, that isn’t entirely true. There is one more thing that you want, and you can only find it at Nissan of New Braunfels in New Braunfels, Texas. Stop by the dealership and pick up some new wheels. Then, go have fun at the festival.
