More and more, drivers across the country are choosing hybrid models over traditional gas engines as a way to save fuel while still enjoying the same stylish models. Nissan hybrids have advanced significantly through the years, giving you all the features you know and love from your favorite models but with enhanced efficiency. Any Nissan hybrid would be a great choice for driving around Texas, and we can help you figure out which one is the best for you.
You know the Nissan Pathfinder as the family-friendly three-row crossover SUV, but did you know that there is also a hybrid version? It is temporarily unavailable as new, so you will have to opt for a 2014 model or earlier. Even so, you will get all the features you need. I love that the Pathfinder Hybrid was offered in higher trim levels, including the Platinum trim. Since Nissan is great at constantly innovating and offering those features in the top trims, even the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid Platinum will be loaded with what you consider to be the latest features.
The Nissan Murano Hybrid is another top choice for those who want crossover versatility with lots of efficiency. Looking at the 2016 Murano Hybrid, for example, will give you a nice and versatile cargo area. I have room for all my kids’ backpacks and sports gear in the 32.1 cubic feet behind the rear seats. When I bought them new bikes, I just folded the rear seats flat and fit them into the 67 cubic-foot area with ease. Don’t be fooled by the 2016 model year. The Murano Hybrid still comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen complete with iHeartRadio and Pandora. I love having my favorite songs at my fingertips even if they aren’t on my phone.
If you prefer sedans, take a look at a 2011 or earlier Altima Hybrid. It uses a modified variation of the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder found on regular Altima models and pairs it with an electric powertrain to give you better efficiency. It still has all the comforts you are looking for, like heated front seats, navigation, and leather upholstery. Because you will be looking at used models, getting these features are easily within your budget.
The current Nissan hybrid, the Rogue, has everything you love about the regular Nissan Rogue but with the hybrid powertrain. My neighbor constantly wows me with her Rogue’s Divide-N-Hide Cargo System; she didn’t need the optional third row of seats. As the most recent model year, the Rogue Hybrid also offers things like NissanConnect Services from SiriusXM, something my neighbor swears by for its convenience.
To make sense of all the Nissan Hybrids or check them out in person, head to Nissan of New Braunfels, Texas. Our staff will be happily to help you explore the new and used models.
