Nissan Titan and Titan XD Get King Cabs in 2017

2017 Nissan TITAN King Cab

It sure feels good to be king. That’s what Nissan must have been thinking with the debut of the 2017 Nissan Titan and Nissan Titan XD King Cab models at the Chicago Auto Show. This is a first for the Titan, and it gives drivers an exciting option.

The Benefits of the King Cab

At first glance, you know that the King Cab body style means more room, but how does that break down for people who get the 2017 Titan or Titan XD King Cab? First, it means that up to six people can sit in the truck. That makes it easy for families to take the entire brood out for a road trip.

Going with a King Cab Titan or Titan XD also means that you will benefit from wide-opening doors, making it easier to throw things in the truck. On top of that, the King Cab trim comes with the “rear seat delete” option. This option removes the seat, providing a flat floor in its place. This is expected to be a popular choice for commercial drivers who need the extra space to store items securely.

Available Grade Levels

It wouldn’t be a Nisan without choices, and the new King Cab delivers on that front. You can get the Titan King Cab in 4×4 or 4×2 drive. Then, you can choose between the S, SV, and PRO-4X grade levels. Each comes with a 5.6-liter Endurance V8 and a 7-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 390 horsepower, making it easy to take on any task that comes your way.

The Titan XD King Cab is also available in 4×2 and 4×4 drive, and it has all of the same grades as the Titan King Cab. You will notice a difference under the hood, though. While you can get the 5.6-liter Endurance engine, you also have the option of getting a Cummins 5-liter V8 Turbo diesel that works with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque.

The Nisan Titan King Cab is set to hit dealerships later this year. In the meantime, visit Nissan of New Braunfels in New Braunfels, Texas, to look at current models.
